Hey there Mamas,
We see you. We see the sleepless nights, the endless to-do lists, the overstimulation, and the mental load that never seems to shrink. We see the love you pour into your families, how hard you try to make it all work, and how you sometimes feel like you’re losing yourself in the process. Majority of us at DreamGlow have been there. And we’re here to remind you of something you might have forgotten: you’re not just a mom. You are so much more.
Motherhood is a beautiful, messy, transformative journey. It changes you in ways you never thought possible. But somewhere along the way, society starts whispering (or shouting) in your ear: “Moms shouldn’t work so hard.” “Your kids need all your attention.” “Forget dreams, taking care of your family is your new reality.”
Let us tell you something: That’s bullshit.
Being a mom doesn’t mean you have to put your dreams on hold. It doesn’t mean you have to shrink yourself to fit into some outdated mold of what motherhood is supposed to look like. You have every right to chase success, build your business, and create the life you’ve always wanted. Not just for you—but for your kids, too.
Think about it. What kind of example do you want to set for them? Do you want them to grow up believing that becoming a parent means giving up on your goals? Or do you want them to see that it’s possible to love your family fiercely while also building something incredible for yourself?
We know it’s not easy. There are days when the guilt will creep in, when the voices of doubt will grow louder, when you’ll wonder if you’re doing the right thing. But here’s the truth: You can be a present, loving mother and a thriving business owner. It’s not an either-or situation. It’s a both-and.
You’re going to have to set boundaries, and that’s okay. Your time is precious, and you deserve to spend it on things that matter to you. Maybe that means carving out a few hours every day to work on your business while the kids are at school or with a sitter. Maybe it means saying no to things that don’t align with your priorities. Maybe it means asking for help—something we moms often struggle to do.
But here’s the secret: every little step you take toward your goals is a step toward reclaiming your identity. Because you’re not just “Mom.” You’re also a dreamer, a doer, a creator, a leader. You have gifts and talents that are meant to be shared with the world. And when you lean into those, you’re not just benefiting yourself—you’re showing your kids what it looks like to live a full, authentic life.
There will be days when you feel like you’re failing at both motherhood and business. On those days, we want you to remember this: Success isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up, doing your best, and learning as you go. It’s about giving yourself grace and remembering why you started in the first place.
So, Mama, let go of the guilt. Shut out the noise of other people’s opinions. You have permission to pursue your dreams unapologetically. You have permission to want more, to be more, to do more. You’re not abandoning your family by chasing success. You’re showing them what strength, determination, and passion look like.
The road ahead might be challenging, but it’s also filled with possibility. You are capable of building the life you’ve always imagined. You are capable of balancing the roles of mom and business owner, even if it looks messy and imperfect along the way.
Remember this: You are not “just” a mom. You are a force of nature, and the world is waiting for everything you have to offer.
